Captain America Movie in 2011

Captain AmericaCaptain America is one of the most famous superheroes from Marvel Comics. So a movie dedicated to the patriotic hero is but a long overdue!

Thanks to the recent success of Iron Man, Marvel has finally enough guts to undertake a new Captain America movie and is ready to provide with the cash required to make the film a blockbuster.

Nothing has really surfaced yet about the director and the cast. But scriptwriter Zak Penn who worked on the Incredible Hulk has been selected to write the screenplay of Captain America.

The movie, titled The 'First Avenger: Captain America', is slated a for a May 2011 release.

The plot:
"After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America's ideals." (source: IMDb)

Captain America will be a period piece set entirely during World War II. With Marvel scrutinizing the work done, the movie Captain America should be close to the comic book. So we may expect the presence of Captain America's greatest foe, Nazi leader the Red Skull, in the cast.

Impatient to see the first Avenger Captain America?

How cool would it be to see Captain America being shown the ropes by Canadian Special Forces Elite Weapon X: Wolverine.
Wolverine's involvement in WWII and his unknown age was noted in the X Men movies and he has appeared alongside Cap in both the 90's cartoon and the comic strip.

how retarded was that last guys commment? being shown the ropes by wolverine? that's laughable. first off in wolverine origins he meets up with cap already fighting. second off cap takes orders and is shown how to do stuff from NO ONE. cap is the man and if seth rogen plays the part i will never see that movie.

Why the hell would Seth Rogen be playing Captain America? That can go in the stupid box.
